NATURALISED BRITON
(Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.l (Reed. July 2(1, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. The King has knighted the former Austrian Minister in London, Baron George von Franckenstein, who has become a naturalised Briton. He was described in the court circular as Mr. George Franckenstein.
Baron von Franckenstein -was * awarded a decoration by the Austrian * Government in 1930 in recognition.,of - his 10 years of valuable work in London. He was appointed Minister there in October, 1920. He was largely I instrumental in the League of Nations , granting the loan which put Austria on her feet after the war and from his post in London he did excellent (work for reconciliation.
