A large number of friends and relatives of the late Mr. George Irvine Faulkner assembled at his late residence, Wainui Bead), this morning to pay their last respects to the deceased. One of the mourners came from Opotiki. Following an impressive service conducted by the Rev. R. C. Aires the funeral left for the Ormond cemetery, where the last rites were conducted. The pall-bearers were Messrs. J. Gardner, 11. Cave, Oliver Scott, W. Porter, F. P. Muir and P. Foxley.
