CHINESE STUDENT'S WIN
ORATORY CONTEST VICTORIA COLLEGE (For Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A Chinese student, Mr. W. VV ah. won the Victoria College Debating Society’s thirty-second annual Plmiket Medal for oratory contest for a prepared speech at the Town Hall on Saturday night. Mr. Wall’s subject was “Wircmti Tamahana, Maori Kingmaker.’’ Mr. R. W. Edgeley and Mr. A. RPerry were placed second and third respectively of the eight speakers.
