TWO MAIN ISSUES

The question of the New Zealand terminus for the Tasman air mail service has not yet been considered by the Government, according to the Prime Minister, the Rl. Hon. M. J. Savage.
"We will naturally be influenced by llic opinion of experts as to which will he the safest prospective base, Auckland or Wellington,” Mr. Savage said. “The two main factors to be considered were, first, safety and security in the operation of the service, and, secondly, what would be the best centre for the most economical distribution of mails, but the factor that will have more influence than anything else will be consideration of the safety of tiiose operating the service and the passengers.”
