NURSE SPEAKS AGAIN
32 DAYS OF COMA SIGHT NOT YET RESTORED SYDNEY, June 11. Nurse Katherine Wilson, aged 36, who has been unconscious in the North Shore Hospital for 32 days—she was found in a state of coma at her home in Wolger road, Mosman—spoke for the first time yesterday.
Specialists believe that her illness is caused by some form of brain haemorrhage, and her slow progress has been watched for days by several doctors at the hospital.
After partaking of a meal yesterday she was able to say a few words for the first time since she Vlas found unconscious, but it is believed that the pressure on her brain has not been relieved sufficiently yet for her to be able to see anybody. Doctors expect that her progress will continue slowly, and that gradually her memory and sight will return.
