After an even tussle, L. L. Winter was successful in beating A. H. Dow. 2 and 1, in the final of the Chrisp Cup scries played by members of the Gisborne Park Golf Club.

The second round of the D.C.L. Cup series resulted: —T. W. Bayliss d. T. M Warner, 5 and 3; P. H. Dow d. J. Slipper, 2 and 1; G H. Stewart d. A. D Tarr, at the nineteenth; A. S. Fearnley d. G. L. Winter, 2 and 1. In the June tankard test Stableford, F. A. Coker (1G) 40 took the decision, and other good cards were:—H. A. Jensen, (18) 37; L. Scholium, (18) 37; L B. Stuart, (14) 3G; S. Dryland, (18) 36: J. McMillan, (11) 30; T. W. Bayliss, (16) 34; L. L. Winter, (20) 34.

For the fourth time in succession, A. H. and P. H. Dow were successful during the week-end in staving off a challenge for the Dryland Cup. The challengers were T. M. Warner and J. .). Malcolmson and they were beaten 2 down, after having had a lead at the fifteenth.

TURANGANUI CLUB W. T. PITT MEMORIAL FINALISTS DECIDED The third and final round of the Turanganui Golf Club’s mixed foursomes medal round for the W. T. Pitt Memorial Cup and miniatures was played during the week-end, being won by R. Keiha and Mrs. W. E. Bullivant with a net score of 71 and an aggregate of 214. The other best cards were: —P. An inter-club match with men members from the Gisborne Park Club was played and there were several enjoyable games before (he home club took the decision by winning four games, losing two, and halving Uvo.

The annual inter-club ladies’ match between Poverty Buy and Tolaga Bay was played on the Tolaga Bay links on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the local team by three games. Good weather prevailed and playing conditions were excellent.
