FREE LEGAL COUNSEL
NEW YORK, May 12. A plan to provide penniless offenders with first-rate legal counsel, by which it is hoped to eliminate from criminal courts the ‘fee-gouging shysters” who prey on the ignorant and distressed, was announced by District Attorney Thomas E. Dewey at a dinner for the Legal Aid Society of New York.
