REJECTED BY TURKS
SCHEME FOR COMMISSION
ELECTIONS IN SYRIA
LONDON, June 22.
The Geneva correspondent of the News-Chronicle says the Turkish Government has informed the League of Nations it will not recognise the authority of the commission entrusted with the supervision of the Sanjak elections in Syria, and also refuses to pay a share of the commission’s expenses. Lack of funds may force the commission to leave. Attempts are being made to modify the view of the Turks.
