ENGLISH SEASON ENDS CHANGES IN STATUS (EH>c. IYI. Copyright—Unitoil Press Assn.) (Reed. May 9, 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 8. The English soccer season has ended. Arsenal won the league championship. Manchester City and West Bromwich have been relegated to the second division, and Aston Villa and Manchester United have been promoted to the first division. Barnsley and Stockport have been relegated to the third division and Milward and Tranmere promoted.
