Almost 200 defendants appeared in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday charged with motoring offences. Two courts were kept busy throughout the day. “She is the finest ship in the world and you can tell anyone that I said so,” said Captain G. B. Morgan, who is in command of the Awatea while Captain Davey is on holiday, when he arrived at Wellington from Sydney.
