With a load of passengers from Wairoa, the Richardson Company's motor vessel Koau grounded on the bar at the entrance to the Inner, Harbour at Napier on Sunday even-* ing, and was unable to land the passengers for 2J hours. The grounding was due to the combined effect of thQ neap tides and the silting which had taken place in the channel resultant upon the floods.
