Lost property experts in England declare that fewer umbrellas and packages are left in railway cars because the younger generation n "holding on to things better." The extension of his magisterial duties having expired, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.. retired from the Bench at the end of last week. Although his term actually expired at the end of last year, Mr. Hunt was twice recalled. He has been in the Magistrate's Court in Auckland since 1918, and will continue as cdroner.
