MUSIC IN VIENNA
CAFES AND RESTAURANTS MOKE MARCHES PLAYED VIENNA, April 20. Fewer characteristic Viennese waltzes and more marches are being played in Vienna cafes and restaurants or broadcast by wireless.
A broadcasting official stated that there was no intention to cut out Viennese waltzes, though, probably, Lehar and Strauss would be less frequently included. "We encourage new works, giving preference, of course, to Aryan composers," he said.
