CAUGHT IN THE FLOOD.—A view of the car In which the resident A. A. patrol, Mr. D. M. McGregor, was travelling to Gisborne last week when he had the unenviable experience of being caught in the floodwaters at Tangoio, north of Napier. The view shows the car still standing on the road, but surrounded by silt. One of the logs on the bonn et is 15in. in girth, and another 12in. Silt can be seen packed above the steering wheel in the front seat.
