SUBSIDENCES AFTER RAIN GREAT GROWTH OF TREES Reporting on public reserves and beautified areas in the borough, the borough engineer, Mr. E. R. Thomas, pointed out to the Gisborne Borough Council last night that some dangerspots had been marked on the riverbanks. He also referred to a remarkable growth of trees, shrubs and grass during the past month. His report was as follow: — "Botanical Gardens.—The changeover from autumn clearance of beds and borders and preparation for planting for winter and spring effects \f> in progress.
