DOMESTICS FOR N.Z. NAPIER WOMAN'S PLAN (Pit PrtlSS Assorialinn.) HASTINGS, this day. In an effort to alleviate the existing shortage of domestic help in New Zealand, girls from Sweden and Denmark may be brought to the Dominion. Miss E. M. Dakins, Napier, will leave on Thursday for a trip to England and the Continent and may endeavour, if sufficient English girls are not available, to bring Scandinavians to the Dominion.
Miss Dakins said yesterday that she could place 500 girls in domestic employment in HaWke's Bay alone and would bring several hundred girls out to New Zealand, if possible.

Heifers in calf made up to £6 10s. while cows generally sold from £6 to £ll ss, the average price being about £8 15s. Weaner heifers brought up to £3 lis. Several fat empty cows made £7. Io the sheep section, breeding ewes, taken all round, advanced 3s fid on late Matawhero rates. A good clean line of 2th to 5-year ewes sold at 25s Bd, and a line of 200 sound-mouth ewes at 25s Od.
Tamworth and Berkshire-cross sows to farrow s okl from £2 to £4, with weaners and slips at 10s to 18s Od.
