CORONATION ROBES
NOT COMING TO GISBORNE • BLOCKAGE OP ROADS There will be no display of the Coronation robes and regalia in Gisborne owing to the blockage of roads between Gisborne and Napier. Advice to this effect has been received by the Mayor, Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P., from the Under-Secretary of the Internal Affairs Department in the following terms:—"A display of Coronation robes and regalia is now impossible owing to the state of the roads and the impossibility of entry through Napier. I regret exceedingly the elimination of Gisborne from the itinerary as a result."
