STABLE HANDS’ UNION
MOVE IN CANTERBURY (Per Prosa Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. Stable hands in.racing and trotting stables in Canterbury have formed a union which has been registered athe Canterbury Racing and I rotting stable Hands’ Industrial Union. This is the first union oi its Kino formed in New Zealand, but it is expected that workers in other oenti ewill follow the lead given by C&nteibury. Better wages and living conditions are two of the main aims,of the union; , It is stated that no exorbitant ' mands will be made and *t _ considered likely that an agre will be reached without muca ,* .
