ALL-CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

POULTRY JUBILEE EFFORT BREEDERS IN UISBOKXK The Poverty Bay Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Bird Association's annual show on July I and 2 marks the silver jubilee of the organisation, and in recognition of the twenty-fifth effort the North Island Poultry Association litis constituted in an allchampionship show, carrying with it special certificates to be awarded best male and best female birds in each breed or variety. All-championship certificates are distinct from North Island championship awards allotted to various associations, but nine North Island championships will be competed for at the Gisborne poultry show this year. These will be:—Poultry, standard Black Orpingtons and utility Black Orpingtons; pigeons, working homer, male and female, Tipplers and I'.'lodenas; cage birds, Yorkshire variegated buff canary, Norwich char or ticked buff canary and Greenwing oudgerigars.

Another point of interest will be that the Poverty Bay Budgerigar and Cage Bird Club will stage its first. Uig show 'since its (formation, this organisation having been accepted as <; specialist club to conduct the cage bird section on behalf of the Poultry Association, and it is understood thai, the specialist club has several very successful club table shows in pre yaration

Judges for this year's show have, been chosen as follows:— Utility poultry, Mr. J. Smith, Pahnerston North;' open poultry, Mr. W. R. Frethy, Hastings; pigeons, Mr. 11. Neville, Wanganui.

Gisborne additions to the North Island iudges' list are:—Mr. J. J. Jackson, poultry and pigeons; Mr. J. Dunlop, all varieties of Leghorns; Mr. J. F. Forster, all breeds of pigeons. Each has been a prominent exhibitor for many years, not only in Gisborne but at many shows throughout the North Island. Mr. Jackson has superintended the Gisborne shows for many years, and is prominent as a oreeder of White Leghorns. Mr. Dunlop is a well known breeder ol Brown Leghorns, and is a member ol the committee of the Poultry Association. Mr. Forster has successfully exhibited racing pigeons and also tumblers and fantails of recent years; he is the secretary of the Poultry Association
