TENNIS AT AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND PLATE STEEVENS IN SEMI-FINAL (Pnr Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. It was practically an off day in the New Zealand tennis championships which continued in threatening weather with a steady breeze. Early morning events comprised six singles, five men's arfu one women's, in the plate events for those players eliminated in the first two rounds of the championships. The only really important rubbers start at 2.30 p.m. the semi-finals of the women’s doubles, the Poole sisters (champions) against Misses B. L. Bishop and PCooke, and the 'Beverley sisters against Misses D. Miller and B. Gould. Rain stopped play at noon.
