MINING CASE
£25,000 CLAIM PAILS WEST COAST PRIVILEGES (Per Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. Commonly known as the "Hoehstetter case." lengthy litigation involving mining privileges located in the Ahaura district, which has on many occasions been proceeded with in the Warden's Court, was again in the limelight at Greymouth, when the warden, Mr. Raymond Fcrner. S.M., gave judgment in favour of defendants.
Proceedings in the present case commenced on July 0, when John Wilson, niiner, of Ahaura, aged 83, claimed £25,000 damages. Defendants were Sarah Ellen Campbell, widow, of Wellington, Bridget Monica Bayne, widow, of Christchurch, Theresa Margaret Goldsmith, married woman, of Greymouth, Gerald T. Joyce, law clerk, of Greymouth. Thomas Francis Brosnahan, solicitor, of Greymouth, and the Golden West Sluicing Company, Limited.
