MOST VALUES EASIER ■GOOD SUPPLY OF STOCK (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. Heavier entries of beef resulted in a decrease in values at Westfield today for the first time since August. Quotations ranged to 39s per 1001 b. The quality among steers was up to the standard, but cows and heifers were again mostly of an inferior class. Extra prime ox beef sold at -39 s per 1001 b.; choice and prime, 33s to 38s; unfinished, 24s to 355; prime cow and heifer beef, 30s to 375; unfinished, 22s to 325; extra heavy prime steers, £l4 10s to £ls; heavy, £l3 5s to £l4 2s 6d; medium, £ll 10s to £l3 10s; light, £lO to £l2 15s; unfinished, £7 to £lO 15s; extra heavy cows and heifers, £9 to £lO 17s Gd; heavy, £7 to £9 15s; medium, £6 10s to £8 15s; light, £4 5s to £7 ss; unfinished, £3 to £5 ss. Sheep were offered in ample supply, the quality being poor. Graziers kept the ewe market fully firm, but wethers tended to ease. Extra heavy wethers sold from 29s to 30s 9d; heavy, 26s 6d to 295; medium, 24s to 27s Gd; light, 22s to 265; unfinished, 17s to 22s 6d; prime maiden ewes, 20s to 22s 9d; extra heavy 20s to 21s Gd; heavy, 18s to 19s Gd; medium, lGs 6d to 17s 9d; light, 14s Gd to 16s 9d; unfinished, 13s to 15s Gd. Fewer lambs were sold at late rates. Prime grade ranged from 21s to 30s, and unfinished 15s to 20s.
