GOLD IN WEST WALES
WORKING TO RESUME CRUSHING PLANT READY HOPES OF RICH YIELD (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 13, 2.50 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 12. . The Daily Telegraph says that intensive production of gold from mines in West Wales will begin shortly. A crushing and extracting mill, handling 40,000 tons yearly, is in readiness near Lampeter, in Cardiganshire. The: deposits, which have not been intensively exploited since the Roman occupation, will yield again soon. Three hundred tons were recently sent abroad for smelting and yielded an ounce of gold and half an ounce of silver per ton.
It is claimed that the deposits will become richer as the area is worked deeper.
