Arrangements for the Moeraki centenary celebrations include the construction of a model Maori village and the organisation of what it is hoped will be the largest Maori display ever staged in the South Island. There will also be a spectacular pageant and a regatta. The following report of a recent meeting of the Moeraki Centenary Committee shows that already preparations are well advanced. Previous arrangements for holding the celebrations earlier were postponed because of the infantile paralysis outbreak.
