NAZI SALUTE
DUKE IN BERLIN "HEILS" ACKNOWLEDGED VISITS TO FACTORIES WOOD-PULP CLOTHING (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 12, 11.50 a.m.) BERLIN, Oct. 12. A large crowd greeted the Duke and Duchess of Windsor when, escorted by Dr. Robert Ley, the leader of the German Labour Front, they inspected the Nazi welfare u-ganisation, where the Duchess was shown stockings made of cellulose. The Duke admired clothes manufactured from wood pulp. The Duke signed his name in the visitors' book: •'Edward Herzogin von Windsor." The Duchess signed: "Wallis Herzogin von Windsor." The Duke lifted an arm in the Nazi salute several times when acknowledging .salutes and "heils" from the crowd outside the Kaiserhof Hotel.
