LABOUR PARTY
TOLAGA BAY MEETING LARGE ATTENDANCE (Special to the Herald.) TOLAGA BAY, this day. The monthly meeting of the Tolaga Bay branch of the New Zealand Labour Party was held in the Reynolds Hall last evening, Mr. J. P. Guthrie presiding over a large attendance. Three new members were enrolled. The report of the southern area committee was read by the delegate, Mr. I. F. Watt. The proposed social committee was discussed, and suggestions put forward with regard to its functions. An interesting speaker at the meeting was Mr. C. Grayndler organiser for the New Zealand Workers Union. In his address Mr. Grayndler spoke of the activities of the social committees in other districts and remarked that rapid strides were made in all places where ladies were actively connected with the movement. On behalf of the members, Mr. Guthrie thanked Mr. Grayndler for his interesting address.
