PEAK PERIOD EXCEEDED
REVENUE FOR THE YEAR AUCKLAND HARBOUR BOARD (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. The revenue of the Auckland Harbour Board for the year ended September 30 totalled £440,869, an increase of £32,069 over the figures for the peak period of 1935-36, according to a report by the treasurer. "These figures are a striking illustration of the recovery of the trade of the port, being well in excess of the highest revenue recorded before the depression," said the chairman, the Hon. T. Bloodworth. "The advance last year was not as great as in 1935-36, when the increase in receipts was £51,046, but the two years show an increase of £83,115."
