ONE COULD KILL .1000 CANBERRA, Sept. 30, Aerial bombs of a destructive power undreamed of in the Great War have been used in aerial attacks upon Chinese cities, according to reports which have reached the Commonwealth Government. These bombs, said to weight. 9001 b. could, in a congested area kill up to a thousand people instantly. In a recent aerial attack in China, a motor car about 250 yards from the spot where the bomb fell, was completely wrecked. The driver and a passenger were blown to pieces. Tyres and upholstery completely disappeared, and the metal body was reduced to oxidised scrap.
