A large crowd while going to their offices watched a clash between antiFascist demonstrators and police outside the Italian Embassy, where Signor Mussolini’s son, Vittorio Mussolini, spent the week-end following his return from a brief visit to Hollywood, where he had been studying American film methods. Police dispersed tiie demonstrators and seized placards, reading: “President Roosevelt. Don’t shake hands with the son of an aggressor” and also “Wanted for collective murder—Vittorio Mussolini.”

The sympathies of the onlookers were divided. Shouts of “Viva Mussolini” were mingled with shouts of “Down with Mussolini.” The protest was due to reports that Mr. Roosevelt would receive Vittorio Mussolini.

ATTACK ON MOSLEY YOUTH UNDER ARREST • (Reed. October 12, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 11. The British Fascist leader, Sir Oswald Mosley, who was injured when struck on the head by a stone thrown during a Fascist rally at Liverpool yesterday, spent a fair night and his condition is reported to be easier.

George Olsen Melander, aged 19 years, was remanded in custody for a week on a charge of wounding Sir Oswald Mosley.
