Speaking in the House of Commons, the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Viscount Cranborne, said that constant, touch had been maintained with the Chinese Ambassador in London, and it had been made plain to him that the British Government would lose no opportunity of making any contribution in its power towards a peaceful solution of the present Sino-Japanese dispute.
