In a tennis match at Eastbourne, Australia versus England, under Davis Cup conditions, C. E. Hare defeated J. Crawford 6—2, 6—2, 2—6. :J _G c—3; Austin defeated McGrath, 6—l, 6—2, 6—3.
At the Frinton tennis tournament, in the fourth round of the singles, OMfi defeated Coombe (New Zealand), 6—o, 7—9, 6—3.
