WELSH TREASURE HOUSE
LITERATURE AND ART OPENING BY THE KING (Reed. Julv 16, 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 15. The King and Queen, after a second night in their train, arrived at Aberystwyth and opened the National Library of Wales, an ambitious building beautifully situated.
During his speech the King expressed the joy felt by the Queen and himself in being among the people of Wales so soon after the Coronation. He described the library as a treasure house of the Welsh language and of •Welsh literature and art, as well as a centre for the advancement of knowledge and the spread of culture. The King and Queen visited Carnarvon Castle in the afternoon. They return to London to-night.
