HOMES FOR 12/6 A WEEK
ADELAIDE HOUSING SCHEME On July 2 a tender was let in Adelaide for'the first two groups of houses to be built in the South Australian capital under a £25,000 scheme to provide homes for workers. The tender was for 4(1 semidetached houses at Croydon North, and six at Rosewater. It is laid down that the cost of the houses, including land, drainage, and other expenses, shall not exceed £450 each, and the rental is to be 12s Gd a week.
