Varied reports concerning an object sighted in the bay yesterday have been received from Gisborne fishermen. One fisherman who saw the object is firmly of the opinion that it was the sea lion which was the centre of so much interest on the local waterfront a few weeks ago. However, others who saw it do not place any credence on the statement. The object was seen from a distance and no investigation was made to ascertain exactly what it was.
