REFERRED TO COURT
LABOURERS’ DISPUTE FEW POINTS SETTLED (Per Pre's* Association.) WELLINGTON, this day.
Little was accomplished at yesterday’s hearing of the Dominion builders, contractors, and general labourers’ dispute, which was resumed before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. S. Ritchie. The hearing was adjourned from June 25 to give the employers an opportunity of referring back to the component associations questions including overtime, holidays, suburban and country work, and the form of the award.
No agreement was reached yesterday on any of these points except country work and rates for certain types of work. The question of stoppage of work was settled, but apart from a few minor points all other matters were referred to the court.
