SERVICE TO FARMERS
MR. POLSON HONOURED
LIFE MEMBERSHIP (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. By a unanimous vote, Mr. W. J. Poison, M.P., was elected a life member of the Farmers’ Union. He retired from the presidency last year after occupying the position for 10 years. > Tributes wore paid by Mr. W. Mulholland and other speakers. Mr. Poison said he was glad to be associated with a distinguished band of life members. The fact that he had been made a life member would not interfere with his interest in farmers’ affairs in any way, and he intended to carry on with the job on behalf of the farmers in the future as in the past.
