NO OFFICIAL CONTESTS
AMERICAN SKI TEAM ONLY INFORMAL RACES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Ski Club announces that no final arrangements have yet been made in regard to any contest between the American skiers and a New Zealand team. It is hoped to arrange for the best New Zealand skiers to meet the Americans in informal friendly races if these can be fitted in with their plans, but no official international contest will be held.
Subject to the convenience of the visitors, it is hoped to be able to arrange informal races between the American team and a New Zealand team at Mt. Cook towards the end of July and at Ruapehu about the weekend” of July 31-August 1.
