Both sheep and cattle markets were brisk at the Hastings stock sale yesterday, values in both sections being upward. Improved quality showed a corresponding price improvement, fat cattle, good lines, advancing by 10s to 15s a head The price range was:—Heavy ox beef, £l3 to £l4 17s; medium weights, £ll to £l2; light and unfinished, £8 10s to £lO.
