BULGARIAN KING’S HEIR
CHRISTENING CEREMONY PROTEST BY VATICAN (Reed. Julv 13, 11.30 a.m.) SOFIA, July 12. Despite a Vatican protest to the effect that King Boris made the usual undertaking in the case of a mixed marriage that any children should be brought up as Roman Catholics, the baby son and heir has been christened according to the rites of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, and named Prince Simeon after the celebrated Bulgarian King of the tenth century.
Bulgarian public opinion is strongly opposed to royal children belonging to other than the Orthodox Church.
