STRICTER OBSERVANCE ORDERS TO INSPECTORS (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Traffic inspectors controlled by the Transport Department have been instructed to prosecute immediately motorists who are seen driving on the wrong side of the road, cutting corners or failing to gave way to traffic from the right.
The department also has instructed its inspectors to exercise more rigid control to obtain stricter observance of the 30-mile-an-hour speed limit in the prescribed areas. "Any driving that tends to cause accidents is going to be dealt with severely,” said an official of the Transport Department. "Motorists have had a long period of warning. They should know by now what they must do or not do.”
The official also referred, to the danger created by a slow driver on a busy highway.
