WAIROA BASKETBALL OSI ER CUP GAMES (Herald Corrospomlenl.) The following are the results of the games in the Osier Cup competition, played at Alexandra Park, Wairoa, on Saturday afternoon: — High School A defeated Redwing A by 16 points to nine in a fast, fair game. Redwing played a somewhat depleted team and were one short until half-time.. These teams are still talking too much, and consequently

not playing as well as they should. Redwing B defeated High School B by five points to three in a seven-a-side game, which was rather more serious than the first. High School’s forwards were unfortunate in not scoring better, but were playing against an exceptionally strong defence.

Play will be suspended for the next two Saturdays on account of the school holidays, but on Saturday, July 17, Redwing A are to provide a game for the Swift team from Hastings, who are to visit Wairoa. They are to be the guests of the association at a dance at Osier's in the evening.

NUHAKA GAMES (1 lornld Oorrrspondi'nl.) Two games were played at Nuhaka, resulting as follows: — Wairoa Primary A defeated Nuhaka School A by 17 points to 7. Wairoa Primary B defeated Nuhaka School B by 11 points to 7.
