EMPIRE CONFERENCE
GREAT FORCE FOR PEACE
SYDNEY, June 25
Sir Geoffrey Whiskard, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom, who is paying a short visit to Sydney, commenting yesterday on the recent Imperial Conference, said that it was very fortunate that the Empire Prime Ministers gathered in London at a time when there was considerable world tension. An expression of views by a gathering of Empire statesmen was of great importance. "I am convinced," said Sir Geoffrey, "that the united Empire is the greatest force for peace in the world today. The British Empire is fundamentally more united than ever before, and the spiritual bonds are closer than the material ones,"
