RESTRICTIONS RESENTED

TROTTING MEETINGS PRESIDENT’S CRITICISM MORE PERMITS WANTED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The annual meeting of delegates to the New Zealand Trotting Conference was held to-day. Mr. H. F. Nicoll presiding. The redrafting of the rules of trot ting was left in the hand of a subcommittee of the executive.

A recommendation that the executive should be granted power to increase the number of stipendiary stewards from two to three was passed. A remit from Auckland proposing that the membership of the New Zealand Trotting Association should be increased to 10 members, six from the South Island and four from the North, was carried.

Officers were elected as follows: — President, Mr. Nicoll; vice-president, Mr. B. S. Irwin; executive, Messrs. F. E. Graham, Christchurch, J. G. Adams, Wanganui, and E. G. Bridgens, Auckland.
