CONGERENGE DEFERRED It is likely that representatives of Dominion sports bodies will be asked to meet the Minister of Internal Affairs, the lion. W. E. Parry, during the first week of August, further to discuss proposals for the establishment of a National Council of Sport. The Minister said last evening that as reports from representatives of sports bodies were still being received he had decided to defer folding the second conference until all reports containing proposals and suggestions had been collated and considered. "There are some splendid and helpful suggestions put forward by several of our sports bodies,” said Mr. Parry. "Nearly all of them in their scope and thoroughness of treatment merit close attention and the result should be gratifying.”
