WAIROA COUNTY RUGBY
SUB-UNION MEETING DRAW FOR SATURDAY (Herald Correspondent.) There was a small business list at the weekly meeting of the Wairoa' County Rugby Sub-Union, when there were present Messrs. F. H, Mardon, chairman, R. Goodlev, W. Brownlie, J. Hodgson, B. Parkinson, A. Mudgeway, R. M. McDonald, and the hon. secretary, Mr. C. Stone. The ordering oR of two players last Saturday was considered suflicient punishment. It was decided to olav a third grade match as a curtain-raiser to the game Te Moari v. Wairoa junior representatives on July 17. The finals of the junior competition will be played as a curtain-raiser to the Napier and Hastings v. Wairoa senior representatives on Saturday, July 24. The Napier High School Old Boys match against Wairoa High School is to be played on July 31 as a curtainraiser to the Poverty Bay-Wairoa Barry Cup match. Saturday’s Games Following is the draw for Saturday: Senior grade.—Waipapa v. Nuhaka, on Wairoa No. 1 ground, at 2.45 p.m.; Old Boys v. Mahia, on Wairoa No. 2 ground, at 2.45 p.m.; Whakaki v. Hihurangi, on McCrea’s ground, at 2.30 p.m. Junior grade.—Waipapa v. Old Boys, on Wairoa No. 1 ground, at 1.30 p.m.; Takutai-Moana v. Pirates, on Wairoa No. 2 ground, at 1.30 p.m.; Nuhaka v. Marama; on Nuhaka ground, at 1.30 pan.; Druids v. Watersiders, on Nuhaka ground, at 2.45 p.m.; Waiau, a bye. Third grade.—No games to be played. OLD BOYS FOR SATURDAY The following will represent the Wairoa Old Boys club in their grades on Saturday:— Old Boys seniors (v. Mahia).—K. O’Connor, D. McKenzie, J. Boag. I-l. Brady, R. A. Russell, W.
