To-day’s North Islarid Report Blue skies were reported at Wellington this morning, .but; overcast conditions prevailed elsewhere in the North Island. Moderate to strong south-easterly breezes Were general. The. barometer had continued to fall slowly. Temperatures at 9 6’clock were: Auckland, 53, .Tauranga 50, Opotiki 52, Eost Cope and,-Napier 54, Gisborne 51, and Wellington 45.-Rough seas were reported at Cape Campbell, Cape Palliesr, Napier, East -.Cape. Tiritiri, and Auckland: elsewhere moderate or smooth. Last Night’s Forecast Pressure is still high over the Tasman Sea and New Zealand areas, but a shallow depression is at present located north of the Dominion. The forecast is for winds south-easterly to easterly prevailing, strong at; times about Cook Strait and in the iftrr North, but otherwise .light to moderate.
