Rajah of Sarawak Film
THE Ranee of Sarawak, Lady Brooke, * has just returned to London from Hollywood, where she has been giving technical advice on the film being made there based on the life of Sir James Brooke. Sir James, her husband’s greatuncle, was the first white Rajah of Sarawak, and the film is an account of his adventurous career. “The producers are insisting, however, that some romance should be introduced to increase its box-office value,” Lady Brooke said on her arrival. “Produtcion will begin probably in October, and Errol Flynn or Ronald Colman will appear in it.” The Ranee was met at the station by her daughter, “Princess” Pearl, now Mrs. Harry Roy, who has made several films with her husband. “They are very keen to have her in Hollywood, and I have no objection,” said her mother, but Harry Roy apparently has.' "Still he might relent, and let me go to make just one film,” said Mrs. Roy.
