S. Vincent presiding. Those ■ present were Mesdamcs N. Hooper, president, E. Trowell, acting-secretary, T. G. Lawless, C. 11. Ferris, I. J. Quigley, D. McKeague, 11. Holmes. Foster, Woodward and Miss Clarke. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdamcs H. E. Hill, H. T. Sinclair and F. Tt. Hill. Warm welcomes were extended b> Mrs. Vincent to Mrs. Lawless on her return to the circle after her long and seriouS illness, to Mrs. Foster on her return from a holiday, and to Mrs. Woodward, a new.member. The subject for discussion was •'Spain To-day,” about which interesting articles were read by Mesdamcs Quigley, Trowell and Woodward. The works of Hector Bolitho, the celebrated New Zealand writer, wore chosen" as the subject for the July meeting.
