A YOUTHFUL APPRENTICE One of the youngest and lightest apprentices in the Dominion is a lad named 11. Duncan, who is now being taught to ride work by A Goodman at Trentham. This lad is only 11 years old and he weighs 4sl, 101 b. Duncan still lives with his patents and he goes to school daily. Ho is down on the tracks before school (host mornings, riding the rising two-year-old Beauty to the course mid then practising up and down the centre of the course on a retired hack who can still muster up quite a lot of pace. At his present rate oi : progress it should not he long before he is tiding in gallops.
