LODGE FAREWELL

RECIIABITE TENT BUG. AM) SISTER .MILLS Members of the Rechabite Juvenile Orchestra and Gisborne. Rachabite Tent met to say good-bye to Bro. W. J. Mills and Sister Mills prior to their departure to take up their residence in Auckland. An enjoyable programme of items, mostly by the juveniles, occupied the -first part of the evening, the performers acquitting themselves well. At the conclusion of the programme, Bro. F. E. Wallen, voiced the regret of members of both adult and juvenile lodges at the departure of Bro. and Sister Mills, and conveyed the appreciation of all members of the whole-hearted service rendered by Sister Mills in her capacity as book steward and superintendent of female members and that of Bro. Mills as an officer of the lodge and custodian of the children’s orchestra. On behalf of the adult lodge and the orchestra, Bro. Wallen asked Bro. Mills to accept a parting gift, while Sister Wallen presented Sister Mills with a token of esteem on behalf of the female members. Bros. W. Dunsmore and D. Cooper also made appropriate presentations to Bros. lan and Frank Mills, on hehalf of the orchestra. Items were contributed as lollows:--Piannforte solo. Valerio Scott; song. Jim Shields; violin selection, orchestra, conducted by Mrs. Elliott; tap dance, Valerie Scott; recitation. Annette Shields; song, Bobby Smith: violin duet, Florence Monk and Jean Fletcher; dance trio, Laura Dowell, Jean and Edith Fletcher; tap dance, Miss Tua Smith and T. Martin; violin solo, Edith Fletcher; scan truibhais, Marv King; Irish Jig, Annette Shields; violin solo. John Wallen; song, Tom Shields.
